As part of our ongoing engagement with local people and organisations on the London to West Midlands route we have set up community forums and planning forums, and we intend to set up an environment forum as well.

Community forums

The community forums enable local participation, facilitating ongoing discussions and building relationships, allowing us to identify local priorities and explore opportunities for further mitigation and local community benefits.

Planning forums

The planning forums facilitate discussion around design development, planning issues, environmental impacts and mitigation principles, and involve officers from local authorities and other transport and planning bodies.

Environment Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) forum

The Environment NGO forum, held quarterly, ensures that our design practices continue to address key environmental issues and that HS2 responsibly delivers a sustainable approach. Any matters of environmental policy and principle are referred to our National Environment Forum, which takes place between Government departments and statutory bodies.
